Description
The innovative iCMORE family of smart and adaptable object recognition algorithms offers automatic detection of an ever expanding list of dangerous, prohibited and contraband goods – including weapons.
Detecting handguns (pistols, revolvers), gun parts, ammunition, flick and fixed-blade knives (min. length ~6cm), iCMORE Weapons was developed for aviation and urban security checkpoint applications.
Which systems?
Providing invaluable support for security operators, customs officers and other controlling authorities; iCMORE Weapons is available for the HI-SCAN 6040aTiX, HI-SCAN 6040-2is and HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX scanners.
Security and operational benefits
Deep learning is fundamental to artificial intelligence (AI) and Smiths Detection took this approach in developing the weapons algorithm – collaborating with customers
to build a huge library of images from which the algorithm could ‘learn’.
The result is accurate, reliable and powerful detection which reduces the burden on image analysts and increases efficiency and throughput. Adding iCMORE Weapons does not impact the speed of the overall image evaluation and little or no training is required.
Automatic detection algorithms such as iCMORE Weapons also support risk-based screening by identifying risks based on the requirements of individual controlling authorities. They can also be adapted to meet differing security levels.
