Description

The ASTM-F792-RT Step Wedge Test Object is the routine testing (RT) object, to assess X-ray operation. It replaced the previously used ASTM-F792-88.

The ASTM-F792-RT is one of three test objects under the newer ASTM F792-17e1 standard (2017), and considers only the methods for routine and periodic verification of system operation and function. This test object is made of ASTM No. 1100 Aluminum or equivalent and consists of 5 one inch steps with five copper wires with plastic insulation and are 24, 27, 30, 33 and 36 AWG (American Wire Gage) in diameter.
